Troubleshooting

Most problems are one of these. If yours isn't, ask in the forum's Help category.

The sign-in page says the connection is not recognized#

The app's registration is missing or out of date. Remove Recallr from the app, add it again with https://mcp.recallr-ai.org/mcp, and connect.

"This sign-in expired"#

The sign-in page is valid for 15 minutes. Go back to the app and choose Connect again.

I signed up but never got further#

New email accounts confirm a 6-digit code first. Check your inbox (and spam) for the email from Recallr, enter the code, then choose Allow. Use Send a new code if it expired.

Search finds nothing#

• A save needs a minute to be read before it is searchable. Long videos and big PDFs take longer.
• Search works by meaning: describe what it was about rather than the exact title.
• Check you are signed in to the same Recallr account you save with.

"Recallr is limiting requests right now"#

Too many calls in a short time. Wait a minute and try again.

"This needs Recallr Pro"#

A plan limit was reached, most often 200 saves on Free. See plans and limits.

The assistant keeps asking me to sign in#

The connection's sign-in ended (it lasts up to 90 days, or Recallr signed the session out). Disconnect Recallr in the app, connect again and sign in.

Claude Code can't authenticate#

• Run /mcp, pick recallr and choose Authenticate; finish the sign-in in the browser that opens.
• The browser returns to a local address on your computer. Allow it if a firewall prompts you.
• Run claude mcp list to check the server is added, and claude mcp remove recallr then add it again if it is stuck.
